Bison Preschool2026-27 Registration Now Open! Bison Preschool 3 years old by September 1, 2026 Preschool is an important part of building the skills your child will use as they move toward Kindergarten age. It is an exciting time for children to grow through learning with friends. During our Bison Preschool classes, children will experience large and small group activities that focus on language development, building social skills, pretend play, early academics including, early literacy, math, and writing skills. Bison All Day Preschool This Bison Preschool option is designed for 4 and 5 year old children the year before Kindergarten. This offering will focus on building friendships, early academic skills, and routines similar to Kindergarten, including eating breakfast and lunch at school. Boo-falo Fun Run-All AgesSports and RecreationThe course starts and finished at Buffalo High School. These are Fun Runs for children Ages under age 6 and ages 7-11, and a 5K for runners ages 12 and older. All participants reveive a T-shirt and are elligible for door prize drawing and costume swards. DNR Certified Youth Snowmobile Safety ClassEnrichmentCheck-in: 8:45 am. Parents or legal guardians must be present for check-in and are encouraged to attend at least the first hour of class. Class time: Begin at 9:00am. Once students have completed their road course and finalized paperwork they will be ready to be picked-up. We expect pick-up will be between 1-3pm. Requirements: Must be 11 years of age before class start date listed above and have completed the online course in order to be eligible to take this class. DNR online course can be taken at https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/safety/vehicle/snowmobile/index.html. We encourage all parents to help support safe riding practices. Parents are welcome to stay and participate and/or help during the safety class. Please be available to pick up your child when class is out. Things each attendee MUST bring to the class: · Lunch · Printed Snowmobile Voucher from MN DNR approved online courses. · Birth certificate, passport or state issued ID · Helmet that has a D.O.T rating and snowmobile approved shield or goggles that fit attendees head. · Warm clothes suitable for riding snowmobile outdoors. This class offers opportunities that support a child’s early learning in a smaller group setting. Little Bison Preschool classes focus on your child’s early social-emotional skill development and well-being including, turn-taking, sharing, trading, and playing with peers, and building experiences with preschool routines. A gentle separating class where parents are encouraged to attend with their child for the first session. In addition, there will be opportunities for parent conversations with other parents led by a licensed parent educator one time per month. Dog ObedienceEnrichmentThis eight-week class is for all breeds of dogs 5 months and older. We work on heeling on leash, sit, down, stay, stand for groom and vet exam. We also work on good manners around people and other dogs. Classes are held indoors in a heated/AC facility with matted floors. Dogs need to be up to date on vaccinations including distemper, rabies, parvo, and bordatella (optional). Young handlers are welcome accompanied by a parent. Students should bring a regular buckle collar, 6-foot leash (no flexi-leads) and plenty of soft dog treats to class. Classes are held at Water’s Edge Dog Center.2026-27
