Design and print your own toys and puzzles! Students will use TinkerCAD to create custom 3D creations like fidget spinners, maze puzzles, and more. Learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling while watching your digital designs come to life on a 3D printer. One print will be mailed home. Use your imagination to create your own cereal bowl and mug! There are lots of design options for you to use including stickers, silk screens, tape, and you could even cut shapes out of vinyl! Let the creativity flow!

Create four funny faces with a bit of imagination and fusible glass. You will be using stringers, dots, and bits and pieces of glass to create your one-of-a-kind funny face. Once the pieces are fired, magnets will be applied to the back of the piece. Use these to decorate your favorite metal surface.

Create a gingerbread house scene for the holidays. Create a fun scene using bits of glass, stingers, beads and frit. A base will be provided so the scene is self-standing. Note: younger artists will be done within an hour but older participants may take longer.

Create a fun 6” x 6” Minecraft image using precut squares. Your creation can be made to hang in a window or made into a plate for treasures. Bring a 6” x 6” printed Minecraft pattern to use as a guide for your artwork. Meet at the studio for this class!

Create 4 unique ornaments. Using clear glass shapes, you will that decorate using colorful glass pieces, noodles, stringers and dots. Items will need to be picked up at a later date due to kiln firings.

There will be no paint brushes used in this class, but Q-tips! Using cotton swabs, kids will create their own pointillism drawings in the style of Georges Seurat on a 10” ceramic plate. In this class we will discuss the color wheel, how to make secondary colors by combining primary colors, and how to transfer a pattern onto ceramic. Bring your own picture!

This course is suited for students age 10 to 13 year-old interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students will receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit. Please bring a lunch, snack and water bottle to class.

Learn the basics of cartooning and create your own characters! Each day students will learn techniques used in cartooning. Subjects like characteristics, features, exaggeration, action and personification will contribute to our students’ artistic advancement! Young Rembrandts students will immediately apply their new skills in every class to create their own original cartoon characters.

Check-in: 8:45 am. Parents or legal guardians must be present for check-in and are encouraged to attend at least the first hour of class. Class time: Begin at 9:00am. Once students have completed their road course and finalized paperwork they will be ready to be picked-up. We expect pick-up will be between 1-3pm. Requirements: Must be 11 years of age before class start date listed above and have completed the online course in order to be eligible to take this class. DNR online course can be taken at https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/safety/vehicle/snowmobile/index.html. We encourage all parents to help support safe riding practices. Parents are welcome to stay and participate and/or help during the safety class. Please be available to pick up your child when class is out. Things each attendee MUST bring to the class: · Lunch · Printed Snowmobile Voucher from MN DNR approved online courses. · Birth certificate, passport or state issued ID · Helmet that has a D.O.T rating and snowmobile approved shield or goggles that fit attendees head. · Warm clothes suitable for riding snowmobile outdoors. Which includes gloves, boots, snow pants and jacket. · Attendees should bring a backpack or something to keep all personal items in during the class room and driving test.

When registering, complete students profile with their legal name as it appears on their Birth Certificate and confirm your child's birth date is accurate. You will also be asked to include the best email address you want the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) to send the Classroom Certificate Completion and the Behind the Wheel Certificate of Completion. Registration for Fall B class ends Monday, October 12 or when the class is full.The package fee includes 30 hours of in-person quality classroom instruction with a BHM teacher, ALL classroom materials and supplies and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with a licensed teacher you can trust. The classroom portion of the fee, $135, is non-refundable. Please check for schedule conflicts prior to registration. It is recommended students are age 15 by the last day of classroom instruction, or shortly thereafter, as this is the age the student needs to be to take the Written Knowledge Test. 30-hours of classroom instruction must be completed for the student to be issued the Classroom Certificate of Completion. Make-Up Session: One make-up session is scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 3:40-6:40 pm at Buffalo High School with Mr. Gunderson if needed. Tardies and/or absence from one class need to be made-up. Students needing more than 3-hours of make-up time will need to retake classroom instruction and pay the $135 classroom fee. Note: Driver’s Education is not funded by the State of Minnesota, therefore, all costs must be incurred by the family upon registering. (No discounts are available for the driver education program.)

Join the Ski or Snowboard Program held at Powder Ridge in Kimball with your friends and Community Education. Registration deadline is Monday, November 23. Various packages are available along with options to add helmet rental and lessons.Bus transportation is available or you can choose to drive your student to Powder Ridge in Kimball.Package price does NOT include transportation. To ride the bus, you must register for transportation separately in addition to your package selection.Note: Montrose Elementary students can ride the Activity Bus to Discovery Elementary after school. First Aid and Safety Trained Kids is a 4-hour course for 7 - 10-year-olds. This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger and internet safety. Students will receive a book, handouts and a home first aid kit as part of the class.

Get ready for a cozy, creative, and glow-in-the-dark slime adventure! In this hands-on class, kids will make two amazing slimes—a soft, puffy pumpkin fluffy slime and a super cool glow-in-the-dark slime that lights up the fun. Young artists will mix, stretch, and swirl their own custom creations using warm fall colors, sparkles, and fun seasonal add-ins.
