Participants will come away with a love for the game, increased confidence and exposure to critical life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship and respect. (Ages 8-12 years) Track and Field - Introducing young athletes to a sport rich in tradition and history, Skyhawks Track & Field combines technical technique development with safety and a major focus on fun. Athletes will learn several Olympic-style events such as the 50m Dash, 100m Dash, 4X1 Relay, Long Jump, Standing Broad Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discus. Each athlete will get their times and throws recorded each day so they can track their improvement throughout the program. We teach sport-specific fundamentals along with footspeed, jumping, flexibility, range of motion, coordination, endurance, and self-esteem. (Ages 6-12 years) Gym Games - Kids will enjoy a variety of fast-paced, skill-building activities in a safe and supportive environment! From classic games like Dodgeball and Kickball to exciting relay races and obstacle courses, campers will learn life skills like teamwork and sportsmanship all while having fun and making new friends! (Ages 6-10 years) Lacrosse - This camp is designed for beginner and intermediate players who are eager to learn the fundamentals of this fast-paced and exciting sport.
